i’m doing well she said, it’s been so long since we’d met / feels
like longer since the last time we spoke / and i got read off a list, of worries she had to get off her chest / so i
followed suit with an arsenal of great times and zero regrets / look like you needed one good reason to stay
here, so i’ll call you a cab at least that’s something that could pick you up, yeah / so what’s up, what’s new, how
can you be stuck in drama since we finished high school? /

Fish In A Barrel
02:30
|
|||
i’ve reached my final straw, your insults have gone on for too long / watch as i’m walking
away / killing friendships with ease, as if you fashioned a disease / and now it’s out what a shame, you just
buried your name, hear your silent eulogy / wearing that earth toned dress, your wave of irony has hit it’s crest /
and if life is just a test, you vultured down and stole the eggs right out of the nest / you can’t just move away,
and think that everything’s gonna change / you’ll realize you’re to blame / and these are the things i need to
say / you’re shooting fish in a barrel, because you’re afraid that they’ll evolve / and grow opposable thumbs and
your disposable tongue will be the first thing they cut off / so take a bite of that big apple, enjoy your short stay
in chicago / and those short days spent in the other portland / you’ll return with no place to go /

Lightshined
02:58
|
|||
i’m running out of things to say but it doesn’t mean i won’t say it anyway / it just wouldn’t be
the same again / the light shined down on your face outside of your house and the concrete / never looked
better to fall on to / just say it before i fall and don’t wake up / all the lights went out after you had left that night
but i’ll just keep on shining on somewhere else / it wouldn’t be the same again /

Make It Count
03:10
|
|||
there’s no more room in my backseat, the sun sets low on our old streets / tonight we’re
back and we’re making it count, back together and together we’re out / scenes fly by in our fast times we drive
to the music of our lives / don’t take away this right from me to be with my friends in unity / this town’s getting
smaller everyday, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have our way another night of singing our songs all i’m
thinking is “what could go wrong” / the city skyline looks back at me / i look at my clock it says 9:43 / late for
the party but they’ll all know / when we walk through the doors we’ll give them a show /

Run Ourselves Ragged
03:38
|
|||
i wish for the days where i don’t have to try, and i think of the ways that these
feelings can subside / it sticks in my mind but you’re by my side / don’t let me go, i know you’re losing strength
but there is so much you don’t know / i see you’re losing faith but there is so much i can show you / every time
i wake up i am filled with apathy, and how i think the apple doesn’t fall from from the tree / i see him in me and
it makes me weak / i am so grateful for everyone around me, and how the deal with and embrace my
personality / the feeling can’t be beat, you’ll always keep me on my feet /

Frost
03:23
|
|||
it’s kind of tough when i think about it, how my mind becomes so crowded, but i can’t find the words
to say / can we go back to where you said “can we just lay right here in bed” and just waste the day away /
these troubled times, yeah they won’t follow us / we got friends that we can trust / don’t be afraid to make
mistakes, see through the lies and all the fakes / given the chance i wouldn’t trade this / strapped for cash but
i’m alright, i think i’ll make it through the night, the bitter cold won’t make me crack / well i kept first for another
day, knowing how way leads onto way, i doubt if i ever will come back /

Hey Prew
02:54
|
|||
just when i thought things were going alright i chipped my tooth on the microphone last night /
now my smile is dead, that’s what all your friends have said / these pearly whites won’t impress you again / but
despite what i lack i’ll prove to you how i can get us back on the winning track / i wish you could see the waves
that night, hurricane irene swallowed two lights, how the weather almost got it right / the beauty i see the shore,
devastated hundreds maybe more / reminds me of your bright blue eye , so happy then i realize / salt water
filled mouth meets my cold dry lips / come on i just can’t handle this / and the taste tells me that this might be it
a statement with your name still on my lips / i’m still bitter but i’m getting by / and i’ll know what i want when i
see it /
|
||||
8. |
||||
you’re so easy to spot but just so hard to look at, i turn to
stone, hoping emotions will just fall away with the sweat / hold tears back like a broken dam slowly breaking
away, just can’t stop it / i’m on the losing end of this, the trophy’s yours but you never wanted it / just take it
don’t leave it / i’ll bring you back to that night, your phone rang silent like you’ve been the last 3 years / you said
so much but held the important things locked up without the key / and i tried so hard for so long and so long is
what you said to me / i’m holding on tighter than you’ll ever know / i just can’t let go / you know i thought you
were my friend / but i know how this story ends / you’ve pushed me further than i could ever bend /
